Singapore's Changi Airport plans to build and open a new zero-energy hotel.
Announced by the Changi Airport Group (CAG) and OUE Limited (OUE), OUE was awarded the tender by CAG for the lease and development of the new hotel – the Hotel Indigo Changi Airport – at Changi Airport Terminal 2 (T2).
Expected to be completed and fully operational by 2028, Hotel IndiGo Changi Airport will be located landside and feature 255 rooms with innovative design elements and modern facilities. Centered around the concept of a “Floating Forest,” the hotel will have a rainforest and hanging epiphytes stretching over seven stories. The amenities will include a rooftop day club, bar and infinity pool offering panoramic views of the runway, airport boulevard, and skyline.

“With travel demand continuing to soar and passenger traffic growing beyond pre-Covid levels, the new hotel will elevate the hospitality offerings at Changi Airport. It will serve our visitors well with its differentiated facilities and convenient access to T2,” said Lee Seow Hiang, Chief Executive Officer, CAG.
According to CAG, the new hotel will be the first zero-energy hotel in Singapore. It will incorporate solar photovoltaic panels, hybrid cooling systems, naturally ventilated corridors and rainwater-harvesting technology aimed at reducing environmental impact while enhancing overall guest comfort and well-being.
The new hotel will add to the airport's landside hotels which includes YOTELAIR at Jewel Changi Airport and the Crown Plaza Changi Airport at Terminal 3. The Crown Plaza Changi Airport is owned and leased by the OUE Group.
